Highlights from the Jersey City Public Schools COVID Update:
-
-
“As a precautionary measure during the cold and flu season, we maintain an enhanced daily cleaning and sanitizing regimen at all our schools. We are using an approved disinfecting/sanitizing process on all solid surfaces in our buildings each day.”
-
“The district encourages frequent hand washing for students and staff and continues to advise those who are ill to remain home.”
-
“As recommended by the CDC, face masks are not a protective measure and are meant to be used for those who are ill or experiencing symptoms. Please do not send your child to school wearing a mask. If your child comes to school wearing a mask, we will assume they are ill and contact you to retrieve your child immediately.”
-
“Please make sure your child’s school has your current telephone number and email address.”
-
“The Department of Health and the Jersey City Public School District recommend that all families with a child who travels to an area of the world impacted by the Coronavirus, to please contact their child’s principal and/or school nurse prior to sending their child back to school.”
-
Our school is strictly following these rules and recommendations set by the Jersey City Public Schools and Principal Watkins-Williams is continuously in contact with the district officials for updates. Please see below Principal Watkins-Williams’ letter to the PS16 families.
